Is He Still Young?

Mr. Bradbury's thoughts came out as thoughts of a child's. They role around in his head like a movie playing from one ear to the next. This man is all about passion. He believes that Passion is most important when writing or doing anything. It all has to come from the heart not the head. He thinks that thinking gets in the way with writing.

Ray is a sweet man, he believe in fairness, passion, things coming from the heart and doing thing that you want to. He seems to be about learning, mainly about himself. He says in his interview that he was afraid of him self and that he learned a lesson about flying. He also says he wants children to be educated, he believes they should read and write by age 6 so we are not like the people in F-451.

BY AND BY!

"The adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is the worst book i have ever read. They say BY AND BY more times when needed, and everything they said could have been explained with less words.
Something i have also noticed about the books we are reading is how much racism there is against different colors (mainly black). It is actually really scary to me of how bad it was when these books were released. It scares me because it is history and history repeats itself. Racism is not something that needs to be repeated.
The kids in the book were always getting in trouble and lying to everyone. Lying is also repetitive in this book. All of the Lying they do just gets them in more and more trouble but, sometimes they getting things from it.They could have avoided many of there problems if they were better children.

Red Rose

Everyone wants a red rose. The symbolism of a rose in The Scarlet Letter shows up more and more. at the begins of the book when the rose kept popping up and i questioned this, but by the middle of the story i realized that Pearl represents the Red Rose. In the book when asked if where she was born Pearls says she was picked off of a rose bush on a prison door.
Something i did not like about this book is how much focus is around religion. Everything is surrounded by the church, or someone thinks Pearl is possessed, or that someone is into the black arts because they enjoy science. Many things would be more pleasant and less hateful if religion was left out.
It seems to me that in every book we read this summer love kills someone or messes up a life. Like in this book Dimmesdale reveals he is the secret lover and dies and then it just leads to a line of death.Every book is just Death, Death, Death!

Dirty Book!

These people in "The Grapes of Wrath" need showers!!!!! Poor men and women, no money, food, water, or shelter. Look at everything we have in our time. most of us are in great health, eating great food, and have wonderful jobs. Most of people would not like to go pick fruit or dig ditches for a job like they did in the book.
The lives we live are far advanced. We have machines that keep us cool during the day. We have music everywhere, friends and family all around, great working cars unlike the old trucks that they had everything piled on top of. Our lives have greatly advanced since the time when this book was written.
This book made me realize how much i really have. I have to say i am not a fan of this book or any book we have read so far, they BORE me to no end. Even though the book was boring it did point out a lot of points about the dust bowl and how little money people had in the depression.

Wrong Love

The Great Gatsby was a wonderful book filled with a lot of wrongs that could have been avoided. the only reason that Mr. Gatsby was killed was jealousy. If Tom did not love daisy he would have not told the man to kill Gatsby, even when he knew it was Daisy's fault the woman was dead.
Love is not a great word for teens or even some adults. It can cause false understandings because what human does not want to be loved. The words "I Love You" Mean a lot to teens. Suicide is committed because of those words. We take the words to heart when really they are just words, it only takes a second to say it but even longer to understand why.
The Book proved my point of what love can do. Even though it Love can bring happiness it also brought pain and death to Toms hidden Love as well as Daisy's.

Perspective.....

You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.  In my opinion this quote makes this book. I catch myself judging people i see walking around everyday, maybe because of how they are dressed or even how they act. I am judged all the time because of how i dress how a act and who i am with. Two of the main cases i see of judging in this book are with Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. Boo Radley is judged by the younger kids as scary and hidden, but they do not know Boo, they only know him by what they hear and what they imagine. Tom Robinson was accused of raping a white girl. people judged Tom because he was black, They did not get to know him they just thought he was bad because of the color of his skin. This book shows a lot of the wrong i see in many people and even myself.

Atticus Finch to me is an amazing father. The lessons he teaches his kids are lessons most children to not learn until they make a mistake. The fact that he is not racist is a strong add to the quote You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it. Even though he knew he would be judged for defending a black man he did it anyway, because it was right, and that is what matters.

Its all perspective.
